Instructions

- Add Maple Syrup and Spices: Stir in 1/4 cup pure maple syrup, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg, and 1/2 tsp ground allspice. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently to coat the fruit with the spices and syrup.
- Add Water and Simmer: Pour in 2 cups of filtered water and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Strain and Cool: Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the spiced pear and citrus mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a container, pressing the solids to extract maximum flavor. Discard solids and allow the liquid to cool to room temperature.
