Description

These Parmesan Bread Bites are soft, buttery, and flavorful morsels made from pizza dough, coated with garlic butter, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and Italian herbs, perfect for serving as a snack or appetizer with marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough:

  • 1 refrigerated pizza dough (store bought or homemade)

For the Topping:

  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 5 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dried parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic, salt, dried parsley, and Italian seasoning until combined well.
  3. Shape Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut the dough into small bite-sized squares or triangles, approximately 1-inch pieces.
  4. Brush Dough Pieces: Arrange the dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each piece generously with the garlic butter mixture ensuring every bite is flavorful.
  5. Add Parmesan Cheese: Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered dough pieces to give a nice cheesy topping.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the bread bites are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and let the bread bites cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor, or garlic powder as a quick substitute.
  • Make sure to cut dough into uniform pieces for even baking.
  • These bites are excellent served warm alongside marinara or your favorite dipping sauce.
  • You can substitute Italian seasoning with dried oregano or basil if preferred.
  • Refrigerated pizza dough saves prep time but homemade dough can be used for fresher taste.
